Working Better Than Ever Expected

“Just wanted to email about the new AC. This AC is working better than I ever expected. The air keeps a consistent cool temp based on what I choose. So far I have used fan mode the most since overnight is cool and as you know we had some cold days not long ago. When I use the fan mode the difference is still night and day compared to my old one. The air itself feels cleaner if that makes any sense. The old one I felt the air but it had a different feel to it, just felt like it was being pushed through an old rusted cage. Overall this AC did cost more but well worth the cost and just amazing. It really made a huge difference and helps daily in and out. Thank you again for all your help and patience since I know we did go back and forth on what models etc. If ever anyone needs a new AC I would still recommend you easily. So thank you again and all the best with summer.”

“I used Golden in 2012 to certify an installation of a 5,000 BTU window-mounted AC unit in an apartment building. I will be using them to install the same AC again in a new window type (building upgraded their windows) this year. I will also be using them to tune up a 15,000 BTU balcony-mounted AC unit. They have a very professional staff who showed up in their predicted time range and provided the documents I needed to prove that the 5K AC unit wasn’t going to fall out. I wasn’t told in advance about a gas surcharge that showed up on the invoice, but considering the distance from their office to my building, it wasn’t excessive. They also work Saturdays (book in advance) which is really helpful.”

Through-the-Wall Air Conditioner

“My mother lives in a seniors building, and I wanted to make sure she would be comfortable in her apartment when the summer season turns hot and steamy. Golden Plug specializes in through-the-wall units, so I called them and spoke to Nancy, and based on the size of the opening in the wall and the square footage of my mom’s apartment, she gave me a few options to consider. I chose the Friedrich Wall Master unit (10,000 BTU) since it would be a perfect fit. In order to confirm that the AC unit in question would fit correctly, Peter Bird from Golden Plug came by to look at her setup and take measurements. All that time, I mentioned to Peter that my mother was concerned her white carpet would get soiled. Peter assured me that they would wear booties over their street shoes and put down blankets to protect the carpet. On the day of the installation, my mother and I were both pleased with the installation. Peter and Matthew did not leave until the AC unit was perfectly placed and an annoying ticking sound (a stray plastic thread) was remedied. From the first call to the final installation, Nancy, Peter and Matthew provided helpful, courteous and overall professional service. Also, since they are an authorized Friedrich dealer, they can service and repair my mother’s AC unit with no problem. I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm.”
